SLS3 Dual Pocket Run Belt Review

This post was sponsored by SLS3. As always, opinions are my own.

After you have been doing something for awhile, and you look back on the time when you first started, do you ever have the "Yikes! What was I thinking?" reaction?

I definitely do. Most recently, because I've been KonMari-ing my house, I came across photos from my very first half marathon.

I compare what I did then in regards to carrying my run-cessities to what I do now, and I don't know how I ever survived!

Not that I pack for each run like I'm going to the Grand Canyon for 23 days-- but there are a few staples that I like to have with me. My cell phone, some cash, my ID and fuel.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to my performance gear. I want to feel comfortable and not have to worry that my gear might bounce or cause chaffing.

For years my biggest complaint on long runs was how challenging it was to reach my fuel in my hydration pack. I actually had to stop mid-run and take my pack off to get my fuel. When it was time to upgrade, the number one thing I was looking for was easy access to my fuel, and the second most important thing was having a large enough pocket to carry mid-run food items like sliced oranges.

Enter the Dual Pocket Run Belt from SLS3!

The Dual Pocket Run Belt is the newest in SLS3's line of high-performance running gear.

So what makes this run belt stand out from the rest?

. Two Pockets. Well, duh. it is a dual pocket run belt! But the pockets are not just any pockets-- they are large pockets. Like, seriously large. I have heard a lot of runners complain that their iPhone 6+ never fits in their fuel belt, or even the front pockets of their hydration pack. The SLS3 Dual Pocket Run Belt solves this problem, easy peasy.

. Compact and Light Weight. You'd think that with large pockets this run belt would feel bulky. But it absolutely isn't.

. Comfort. I'll be honest, when I first saw how many run-cessities would fit in this belt, I was skeptical that it would feel comfortable during a run. I was pleasantly surprised. I ran 14 miles with this belt and once I got it snugly in place, it stayed the duration. No bounce from this belt!

. Water Resistant. The pockets and zippers are made with water resistant material to help keep your valuables dry. I personally wouldn't carry my cell phone during a run in pouring rain, but for sprinkles and splashes, your gear should be safe.

Oh, and if you're a girly-girl runner like me, get excited-- this run belt comes with purple accents. So pretty!

I've done quite a few runs now with my snazzy SLS3 Dual Pocket Run Belt. Both on the trail and on the road. The longest distance was 14 miles. I'm happy to report that it far exceeded my expectations for any run belt.

It fits comfortably and holds all my run-cessities-- can't ask for much more than that! I plan to wear my new SLS3 Dual Pocket Run Belt at the Dahlgren Trail Half Marathon this weekend. I'm excited because I'll actually be able to snap a few photos mid-race! Who doesn't love a good mid-run selfie??
